On Wednesday the 18th day of March, 2015, Augustinians from different parts of Nigeria gathered at Shendam in Plateau State to bury the Mother of one of our Augustinian brothers; Rev. Fr. Peter Maigari O.S.A.

We all arrived Jos the State Capital safely the previous day before heading to the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Shendam, the venue of the requiem Mass. The journey to Shendam started very well from Jos but few kilometers to Shendam, tragedy struck. It was pathetic, the bus taking the choir to Shendam ran into problem, break failed and the accident was bad.IMAG0016IMAG0017 Looking at the condition of the bus, one begins to wonder if there were survivals; well, One died at the spot while Two died shortly after getting them to the hospital. Others sustained different degrees of injuries. We pray God to grant eternal rest to the Souls of the dead and quick recovery to the injured.

with lots of Priests and lay faithful in attendance. In his homily, Msgr. Gotan of Jos diocese described the late Mrs. Rose Maigari as Mother of Priests and religious.

We continue to pray God to grant the Soul of Mrs. Rose Maigari and the Souls of the faithful departed eternal rest; may he also grant quick recovery to the sick and the injured.
